Notary Public for Sworn Documentation for Abroad

Many foreign authorities will only accept statements that have been sworn before a notary. We administer oaths and affirmations and certify sworn documents for presentation in a third country.

Documents that need to be sworn

  • Affidavits for foreign courts and tribunals
  • Sworn statements for immigration, citizenship or residency applications
  • Declarations of single status or freedom to marry abroad
  • Sworn statements for foreign banks, pensions and estates

Making it valid abroad

The notary confirms who you are, administers the oath or affirmation, and witnesses your signature. The notarial certificate and seal show the foreign authority that the document was properly sworn in Ireland.

Depending on the destination country, the document may then need an apostille or consular legalisation. We will explain exactly what is required before your appointment.
